Some of Dr. LaFountain’s life-changing clinical contributions include a breast
cancer staging algorithm that allows for tailored treatment for
women fighting breast cancer; an operational model that redefined
compassionate patient support programs; a smoking cessation
program that doubled the best achievable results for long term
smoking cessation, and a predictive cognitive model of diabetes that
outperformed treatment with insulin, to name a few.
In 2018 Dr. LaFountain directed her research focus towards holistic
human flourishing. Her primary work now is as the CEO of Aquinas
Studios, where their mission is to develop psycho-theological models
to support flourishing across heart and soul and mind. Driven by this
mission, she also leads Harvard University’s Psychometrics of Love
group and is an adjunct professor of psychology at Divine Mercy
University.
Believing that ethical leadership begins at home, she considers her most
meaningful achievement to be raising her five flourishing children
alongside her husband. They are blessed by the recent addition of a
wonderful daughter-in-law to their family.
Dr. LaFountain earned her bachelor’s and master’s in applied
psychology at Ulster University (Northern Ireland), and her PhD in
Neuroscience at the University of Liverpool, UK. She also holds a
master’s in theology from Liberty University.
Born in Manchester, England, and raised in Donegal, Ireland, she now
lives in Philadelphia, soon to be Houston, with her husband and their
beautiful daughter. www.aquinasstudions.com
