Hedva Ser is an internationally acclaimed contemporary artist, renowned for her bronze sculptures, textured tapestries, and intricate jewelry inspired by her sculptural work.
She trained in Paris at the Grande Chaumière and the Musée Nissim de Camondo, and later at the Hornsey College of Art in London. Her artistic journey, spanning painting, sculpture, and tapestry, is distinguished by her pioneering use of relief techniques, developed under the influence of her mentor, Alicia Penalba. Deeply inspired by nature, her work expresses both strength and poetic sensitivity.
In 2011, Hedva Ser was named Artist for Peace by UNESCO, and since 2017, she has served as a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Cultural Diplomacy, gaining international recognition for her contribution to peace through art. She has been honored by the French government with the Légion d’Honneur and the title of Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters.
Hedva Ser is particularly known for her monumental bronze sculptures, which have become powerful symbols of peace, tolerance, intercultural dialogue, and human fraternity. A pioneer in using art as a vehicle for social progress and education for peace, she has dedicated her career to fostering dialogue and unity across cultures.
